Artist Statement

I am drawn to the edges of places and things. Things that are fading, crumbling or barely there. The marks and traces of process, experience and time both physically and intangibly.

I think a lot about entropy (the gradual decline into disorder) and disintegration (the process of coming to pieces) at a material and personal level.  Reflecting these themes, my work frequently uses repurposed and reclaimed materials again and again in ever small fragments. The process of making, exploring and forming is often more important than the final presentation of any piece as I think work is most ‘alive’ while being created.

Below are a selection of artworks, objects and collaborations from my studio practice loosely grouped together by material or ‘project’ as seemed appropriate.
